Mission & Responsibilities

Reporting to the General Manager of the Méga Parc, you will supervise maintenance and repair operations for the rides, mechanical equipment, and technical systems of the park. You will ensure safety, reliability, and compliance while overseeing a team of technicians.

Technical

– Plan and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rides and equipment.

– Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or electronic failures and coordinate repairs.

– Ensure compliance with CSA Z267, ASTM, RBQ, and CNESST standards (training provided).

– Read and interpret mechanical and construction blueprints.

– Respond quickly to technical emergencies to minimize downtime.

– Perform welding and assembly work on metal components.

– Contribute to general facility upkeep (minor repairs, painting).

– Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems (asset: skating rink and ice resurfacer experience).


Leadership

– Demonstrate managerial courage: make difficult decisions fairly, address performance or safety issues without compromise, and uphold the park’s strategic direction.

– Lead, motivate, and support the technical team in a dynamic environment.

– Manage schedules, assign tasks, and evaluate performance.

– Participate in ongoing training for technicians and the improvement of procedures.

– Set departmental priorities aligned with park objectives.

– Promote a safe work environment focused on customer satisfaction.


Administration

– Maintain up-to-date maintenance records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.

– Manage budgets related to technical maintenance and optimize resources.

– Place orders and negotiate with suppliers for parts, specialized repairs, and external inspections.

– Work with partners to ensure availability of parts and services.

– Use maintenance management software and ensure traceability of all interventions.

Desired Profile

– DEP or DEC in industrial mechanics, electromechanics, or a related field.

– Experience supervising a technical team (recreational or commercial environment is an asset).

– Knowledge of safety standards and mechanical/electrical systems.

– Strong leadership, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.

– Good physical condition (work at height, lifting up to 23 kg / 50 lbs).

– Manual dexterity and ease with precision instruments.

– Basic computer skills.

– Availability for a variable schedule (days, evenings, weekends).
